Questions worth answering about our Google Gemini AI training.
On raw model capability, the three trade leads depending on the benchmark and the month. For businesses or teams using Google Workspace that question isn’t the right one. The right question is “does the AI need to live in Gmail and Docs, or can it live in a separate tab?” When the answer is the former, integration beats raw capability, and then Google Gemini wins.
NotebookLM is a Google tool that lets you upload source files (PDFs, Docs, links, audio, video etc) and ask questions only against those sources, with citations. No hallucination from the wider internet. Most delegates who see it get more excited about NotebookLM than about Gemini itself. You’ll build one during the day.
Common situation and its one that might mean you are running shadow AI (not good). On our AI Pathway for SMEs at sage 2 we help you choose your AI stack. The answer is sometimes “switch all staff to Gemini,” sometimes “run both side-by-side.” We won’t pretend the answer is always Gemini just because you’re on Workspace, but the cost of running both has to clear a bar.
Gemini for Workspace Business and Enterprise plans don’t use your data for training. NotebookLM doesn’t use your uploaded sources for training. We will cover the safety basics and go into the specific Workspace admin controls and policy patterns we recommend.
