Magnifica worked with LWC Drinks to deliver a secure Quotation system that included a live price feed from their Accounts package.
LWC Drinks are the UK’s Largest Independent Drinks Wholesaler. As a distributor of beers, wines, spirits, soft drinks and associated sundries for re-wholesale and wholesale we have a large sales and distribution operation across 10 national depots.
LWC had a requirement to implement a quotation system for use by their sales staff. The drivers for implementing a new system were to standardise the quotation process, offer live prices to customers, introduce workflow into the sales process and also to improve the reporting capabilities in this area of the business.
Magnifica worked with an LWC Data Analyst to fully understand the data that makes up their pricing. We understood how that data was sourced from their Accounts/ERP and came system.
After gathering requirements Magnifica proposed the delivery of a database driven Web Application using Microsoft SQL server and the .NET application development framework.
We agreed with this approach with LWC and working with key people within the organisation Magnifica developed a bespoke web application that met the needs of the business fully.
Once the first phase of the project was delivered Magnifica worked with LWC on ways to improve and extend the application's feature set. The insight Magnifica gave into how best to deliver the new functionality we required helped us make important decisions based on his solid technical understanding and experience.
The web application was rolled out across multiple depots and is now used by a team of salespeople around the UK.
